MSDS: CHEMICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. WHAT IS MSDS?

MSDS, short for Material Safety Data Sheet, means chemical safety data sheet, is a text document containing detailed information about a specific material or substance that is potentially hazardous.

Chemical safety instructions play an important role in ensuring the safety of people who come into contact with or work with those materials and chemicals. MSDS are often applied during the transportation, storage, handling, etc. of potentially dangerous materials and chemicals, regardless of whether the chemicals are packaged or not. 

MSDS are usually prepared by manufacturers or material suppliers. The purpose of creating an MSDS is to provide information about the hazards of the product, provide instructions on how to use the product safely, predict the consequences if recommendations are not followed, provide instructions for handling accident situations, how to distinguish symptoms of exposure exceeding safe levels and how to respond in case of an incident.
